At sand & stars we are able to provide the government funding as well as private payments. 

Our fees are priced at £7.50 per hour for a minimum of six hours per day with a minimum of two days per week. 

Sand & Stars are open from 7:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday all year round and can provide the following session choices: 7:00am-6:00pm, 9:00am-3:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm.

Families are asked to provide children with nappies and wipes, a change of clothes, and footwear that is weather appropriate such as wellies for the garden if it is raining. Families are also asked to provide lunch for their child daily. 

We are able to provide the government funding including FF2, 3-4 yrs funding with the extended entitlement and the working parents entitlement. Please read below for further information on these funding options.

Up to 15 funded hours for Free for two known as FF2.  If a family is in receipt of certain benefits they may be able to get up to 15 hours over 38 weeks of the year. Children eligible can start claiming the term after their second birthday.  Further information on 2-year-old free childcare eligibility can be found on the GOV.UK website. Kent county website has full information on how to apply for a free for two space. 

All 3 & 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours funding a week. The entitlement begins the term following the child's third birthday. Some children may also be eligible for up to 30 funded hours.  

A child qualifies for the extended entitlement if both parents are working (or the sole parent in a lone parent family is working) and each parent earns, on average, a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours (National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage) and less than £100k a year.

Eligible working parents of children between 9 months and 4 years will be able to apply to HMRC for 15 hours of childcare. To apply each parent needs to be working and earning the equivalent of 16 hours a week at national minimum or living wage and under £100,000 adjusted net income per year. This means that each parents need to earn from just over £8,600 per year to be eligible for 15 hours a week of childcare during term time.  Families can find more information as well as how and when to register for support with childcare costs on the Childcare Choices website 

Our breakfast and after school clubs are £10 per session. Each session is 2 hours long. Adhoc sessions are charged at £15 per session.

Holiday club operates in the school holidays Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm. Children must attend the core hours of 9am-3pm at a rate of £39.00 per day (£6.50 per hour) additional hours outside of these hours and between the hours of 7am-6pm are charged at thehourly rate of £6.50 per hour. 

You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare.   If you get Tax-Free Childcare, you’ll set up an online childcare account for your child. For every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2 to use to pay your provider.  You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 15 or 30 hours free childcare if you’re eligible for both.  

You can use it to pay for childminders, nurseries and nannies after school clubs and play schemes.   

You can usually get Tax-Free Childcare if you (and your partner, if you have one) are in work,on sick leave or annual leave or on shared parental, maternity, paternity or adoption leave and you’re going back to work within 31 days of the date you first applied. You may still be eligible if your partner is working and you get any of the following: Incapacity Benefit, Severe Disablement Allowance, Carer’s Allowance or contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance. Your child must be 11 or under and usually live with you.
